A stunning and unusual diamond and pink sapphire bypass ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Crafted in?14kt yellow gold and platinum,?the piece features a sparkling old European?Cut diamond and vibrant pink sapphire nestled together at?the center, forming a stylish "Moi et Toi" ("Me and You") design. Each stone?rests in a platinum 6-prong?setting, while the band is yellow gold, creating a lovely mixed metals appeal. The diamond and pink sapphire individually weigh 0.55ct each, with the?diamond?exhibiting H color and VS?clarity, and the sapphire displaying an intense hot pink hue. Completing the design is a smoothly polished band that graduates slightly towards the back, and stamped inside of?the shank is a "14K" purity mark. A beautiful?and feminine design, it could make a unique engagement ring, or a special?addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.5,?but could easily be re-sized. When worn, the stones?rest approximately 1/4" above the finger. The tapered band measures approximately 1mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow?gold and platinum setting. Both the diamond and ruby are intact and securely set.
